Common application fields of diaphragm couplings are widely used in shafting transmission of various mechanical devices, such as water pumps (especially high-power, chemical pumps), fans, compressors, hydraulic machinery, petroleum machinery, printing machinery, textile machinery, chemical machinery, mining machinery, metallurgical machinery, aviation (helicopter), high-speed warships. Power transmission system, steam turbine, piston power mechanical transmission system, tracked vehicle, and high-speed and high-power mechanical transmission system of generator set have been widely used in high-speed transmission shafting after dynamic balancing.

What are the operating characteristics of diaphragm coupling?

1. The diaphragm coupling exerts predictable low additional negative force and bending moment on the connecting device compared with the same kind of flexible transmission elements.

2. Diaphragm coupling has high power-mass ratio, which is especially suitable for connecting high-power power power devices.

3. The non-linear change of the stiffness between the diaphragm couplings effectively restricts the drift of the magnetic center of the motor.
