Drum-shaped gear coupling belongs to rigid-flexible coupling, which has the ability to compensate the deviation of radial, axial and angular equiaxes. Compared with CL-shaped straight-tooth coupling, the drum-shaped gear coupling has the advantages of compact structure, small turning radius, large bearing capacity, high transmission efficiency, low noise and long maintenance period.

The characteristics of drum-shaped gear coupling (compared with straight-tooth coupling, the following characteristics)

1. Strong bearing capacity. Under the same outer diameter of inner gear sleeve and coupling, the load-carrying capacity of drum-shaped gear coupling is 15-20% higher than that of straight-tooth coupling on average.

2. Angular displacement compensation is large. When the radial displacement is equal to zero, the allowable angular displacement of the straight-tooth coupling is 1 unite, while that of the drum-tooth coupling is 1 unite 30', increasing by 50%. Under the same modulus, number and width of teeth, the allowable angular displacement of the drum-tooth coupling is larger than that of the straight-tooth coupling.

3. The drum-shaped tooth surface improves the contact condition between inner and outer teeth, avoids the drawbacks of edge extrusion and stress concentration of straight teeth under angular displacement condition, improves the friction and wear condition of tooth surface, reduces noise and prolongs maintenance period.

4. The tooth end of the outer gear sleeve is in the shape of a horn, which makes the assembly and disassembly of the inner and outer teeth very convenient.

5. The transmission efficiency is as high as 99.7%. Based on the meridian characteristics, drum teeth have been widely used to replace straight coupling at home and abroad.

Our company produces drum-shaped gear coupling with complete varieties and specifications, and meets the corresponding standards. Drum-shaped gear coupling is rigid, flexible and inelastic, so it is not suitable for machinery requiring vibration reduction, cushioning and two-axis alignment.
